AIDA KIDS

 

Our freediving center with instructor Kostas Madouros became the first in Greece that can teach the following children's classes covering the ages of 6-15, according to the new educational program of AIDA International.

 

A great gift for your children! Learn about the sea and the underwater world through fun games and educational activities!

 

  • Required equipment: mask, flippers, swimsuit.

  • Optional additional equipment: snorkel, wetsuit up to 3 mm.

 

AIDA Youth - Bronze Dolphin

BRONZE DOLPHIN (ages 6-8)

THEORY:

  • Basic equipment + its care.

  • The need for breathing.

  • Relaxation between dives.

  • The underwater environment.

  • Basic safety rules.

  

 PRACTICE :

  • Proper use of equipment.

  • Float using aid for 30 sec.

  • Floating without the need for equipment.

  • Surface and underwater swimming.

  • Perception of change of direction underwater.

  • Games with a collection of shallow objects.

 

  • Maximum depth: 2 meters

  • Maximum underwater swimming distance : 15 m

 

  • Course duration :1-2 days.

GOLD DOLPHIN
(ages 11-13)

THEORY:

  • The 2 ways to dive.

  • The importance of relaxation between dives.

  • Buoyancy of objects.

  • The underwater environment.

  • Safety rules.

 

 PRACTICE:

  • Float using buoy, without flippers for at least 1 min.

  • Floating without the need for equipment for 1 min.

  • Apply 3 ways to relax on the surface.

  • Vertical dives by pulling the rope.

  • Equalization of ears pressure.

  • Proper entry into the water.

  • The dive buddy system.

  • Utilization of buoyancy in emergency.

  • Proper breathing after each dive.

  • Games with collecting items and improving underwater skills.

 

  • Maximum depth: 8 meters

  • Maximum underwater swimming distance : 30 m

 

  • Course duration 3 days.

AIDA Youth - Silver Dolphin

SILVER DOLPHIN (ages 8-10)

THEORY:

  • Water pressure.

  • Basic structure of the ears.

  • The need for equalization of the ears.

  • The role of the diving couple.

  • Relaxation between dives.

  • The underwater environment.

  • Basic safety rules.

  

 PRACTICE:

  • Float using aid for 1 min.

  • Float without the need for equipment for 30 sec.

  • Underwater horizontal swimming.

  • Vertical dives by pulling the rope.

  • Equalization of pressure in the ears.

  • The dive buddy system.

  • Underwater object collecting games.

  • Application of an international distress signal.

 

  • Maximum depth: 5 meters

  • Maximum underwater swimming distance : 20 m

 

  • Course duration : 2 days.

AIDA JUNIOR

(ages 14-15)

THEORY:

  • The 2 ways to dive.

  • Underwater equipment.

  • Respiratory control after emergency.

  • The need for equalization of the ears + mask.

  • Buoyancy control.

  • The underwater environment.

  • Safety rules.

 

 PRACTICE :

  • Apply 3 ways to relax on the surface.

  • Proper breathing after each dive.

  • Duck dive technique. .

  • Vertical dives by pulling the rope.

  • Vertical dives with flippers.

  • Ears + mask equalization.

  • Utilization of buoyancy in emergency.

  • Belt release during emergency.

  • Games with collecting items and improving underwater skills.

 

  • Maximum depth: 15 meters

  • Maximum underwater swimming distance : 40 m

 

  • Course duration 3-4 days.
